Our wonderful friends Colpa Press invited us to participate in their San Francisco Pop-Up Shop this weekend, and we couldn’t have been more seriously excited about sending them copies of our zines.  Check out their blog post about DUM DUM!

Opening night is tonight, December 16, at the Wire+Nail Gallery (check out the Facebook event page) and will feature limited edition books, prints, and objet d’ art from over 30 contributors. If you can’t make it, don’t worry! The shop will be open on Saturday and Sunday as well.

The weekend long pop-up shop is curated entirely by Colpa Press and items on for sale in the exhibition call attention to production detail and the “dynamic relationship between production and craft.” As you can see from the image below, DUM DUM will have copies of Issue No. 1 broadsides for sale, as well as CDs of Issue No. 2, our collaborative, multi-artist sonic-literary experiment Lightness & Darkness.

It looks like Colpa is all geared up for tonight’s opening. If you’re in the Bay area, we couldn’t be more jealous! Things are looking crazy in L.A. weather-wise, so our best hopes are to make it in time to check out the store by tomorrow at the very latest. If weather permits, then video director Susan Yi, art director Pedro Juarez and myself cannot wait to road trip it up there to look at all the pretty, pretty printed things. See you in The Mission!
