Welcome to ZINETERVIEWS, an ongoing feature where  DUM DUM contributor Bryxan Amsterdam conducts an interview with a band via text message. For ou second installment, Bryxan speaks to Brooklyn based outer-electro artist Vincent Cacchione of CAGED ANIMALS. The conversation originally appeared as part of  Funkadelic Forever, a zine Bryxan created for Olympia’s 24 Hour Zine Thing.

Text from Bryxan Amsterdam (BA) 2:52pm: So how are things?
Where are you at right now?

Text from Vincent Cacchione (VC) 2:36pm: Things are quiet. I’m sitting on the far end of a bar in Northern NJ called the Shepard + The Knucklehead, working. It’s slow. I have horse racing on the TV and “The Power of Birthdays” on the bar. The patron saint of this bar is Jack Kerouac, all his work in on a shelf above the liquor.

BA 3:00pm: sounds boring.
what’s your drink? Any favorite recurring local drunks?

VC 3:04pm: I like “Skip” the best. He looks like Neil Young, circa now, and owns a video projection business. He doesn’t drink, he comes to the bar to play Megatouch. I drink Cabernet, naturally.

BA 3:07pm: Skip sounds cool. I’m guessing no jukebox there but what ya been listenin’ to?

VC 3:11pm: Theres an ill jukebox here. But I been listening to Autobahn by Kraftwerk. New music from San Fran by Electric Sunset. Twin Sister – Color Your Life. How to dress well has been big for me lately. I also got to see the Spiritualized Ladies and Gentleman show at Radio City so I’ve had that on my mind as well.
BA 3:26pm: yeah. Wish I saw that. Any random realization you wanna share/relate with our readers? Where can we steal yr music?
